Flexible ultrasonic punching: Robot cell with the patented ultrasonic punching system

The interested visitors were given a precise idea of the promising, highly flexible new solutions by our trade fair team: The visitors could see a simulation of an operating process in a robot cell where bumpers were punched with the SONOTRONIC ultrasonic punching system. The big advantage of this flexible system is the possibility to process different bumpers in the same robot cell applying optionally hole punchings for parking sensors, for headlight cleaning systems, for side markers or for simply functional holes. Besides the punching applications, this flexible system can be extended with gluing systems for the respective dog clips of PDC, SRA or SM.

The application of these flexible systems is not limited to low quantities of different bumpers.
Besides autarc cells, SONOTRONIC has also successfully realized big sized projects, allowing to process different bumpers in mid-sized and big-sized productions. Thanks to the robot cell in our booth, the fair visitors had the possibility to get important and promising impressions of the new flexible solutions.

In addition, on the K trade fair, SONOTRONIC exhibited the actual custom-made machine range including the classic ultrasonic punching with a fully automatic special machine, performing extremely short cycle times for high volume production lines. We will be present also on the next trade fair as machine producers, as know-how provider and as engineering service provider in the field of plastics technology.
